The city of Youngstown's race for mayor will become a little tighter after a new round of candidates throw their hats in the ring.

After Tuesday's primary election, there will be more than Republican Tracey Winbush for the Democratic winner to face in November.

There are now four more candidates running for the seat currently held by Mayor Tito Brown.

Three Independent candidates include John White, Richard Vincent Hill and Tayana C. Smith.

There is also one write-in candidate, Calvin Hill Sr.

These four candidates will all be on the November ballot along with Winbush and one of the Democratic candidates, Mayor Brown, Councilman Julius Oliver or Businessman Ryan Kelly.
