Black bear spotted in New Middletown area
ODNR says there has been an explosion in the black bear population and bear sightings will become more common.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - A bear was spotted in New Middletown Monday evening.
New Middletown Police say the black bear was roaming through the area doing "bear things."
The bear was located but the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) does not remove bears unless they are destroying real property or acting aggressively.
ODNR says there has been an explosion in the black bear population and bear sightings will become more common.
If you see a bear, do not approach or feed them.
