YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Four people were taken into custody Thursday evening following the execution of a number of search warrants in Youngstown.

According to Mahoning Valley Drug Task Force Commander Larry McLaughlin, the search warrants were executed jointly by the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force and the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team.

The searches occurred around 6:45 p.m. at four homes that neighbor each other on Griselda Avenue.

According to McLaughlin, four people were taken into custody. Three of the arrestees had previous warrants and one person was arrested on a new gun charge.

Drugs and firearms were removed from the homes during the search.

Officials say three of the houses searched will be boarded up.

The names of the arrestees have yet to be released.
