LEETONIA, Ohio - A plaque dedication event was held Sunday for a Leetonia man that served his country for more than 30 years.

The American Legion Post 131 honored Vice Admiral Tony Less of the U.S. Navy with a plaque and bench to commemorate his service.

Less graduated from Leetonia High School in 1955 and joined the Navy soon after.

Tony earned his flight wings in the early 1960's and logged more than 6,000 flight hours during his career and served in more than 100 missions in Vietnam.

Vice Admiral Less retired from the Navy in 1994.

21 News spoke with Less after the event and said he couldn't believe the turnout for the event.

"I don't deserve all of this. I did my thing in the Navy and enjoyed every minute of it! I'd go back tomorrow if I could. I'd serve another 30 years if I could," said Less.

The bench and plaque can be seen outside of the American Legion 131 at 540 Main Street.
