Washed out Mercer Co. road to remain closed for at least two weeks
A Mercer County road that was damaged from heavy rains and flooding will remain closed for the near future.
According to PennDOT, Oniontown Road/Hamburg Road (Route 4014) will be closed near the intersection with the Crestview Drive Extension for at least two weeks.
The stretch of roadway in Pymatuning Township washed away after heavy rains caused flooding in the area.
About 25 feet of road was displaced as well as parts of a culvert.
PennDOT crews from the Mercer County facility will conduct repairs over the next few weeks.
Drivers should avoid the area.
