A second man has been sentenced Thursday after his involvement with a man found burned to death in an SUV on Youngstown's Eastside.

Dawond Roddy will have to spend the next four years in prison on charges of tampering with evidence and arson.

As part of a plea deal for Roddy, charges of aggravated murder and murder were dismissed.

The sentencing comes after Raylin Lavar Blunt's body was found in a burnt-out SUV on McGuffey Road in July of 2020.

Blunt's sister was in the courtroom and says they weren't able to properly say goodbye to Blunt because of what happened.

"Had it not been for his actions, we would have at least been able to look at my brother's face to say goodbye to him. We were unable to do that because my brother's body was burned beyond recognition," she said.

The other man charged in the case, Julius Kimbrough, pleaded guilty to murder, having weapons while under disability, arson and tampering with evidence.

Kimbrough was previously sentenced to 18 years in prison.
