Artist creates mural to promote peace in Youngstown
An international artist is taking to the streets to promote peace in the city of Youngstown.
Kyle Holbrook made a stop in the Valley to paint the piece as part of a country-wide Stop Gun Violence mural tour.
The Glenwood Avenue mural is titled 'Peace Youngstown,' and is located in the Idora neighborhood at 2622 Glenwood Avenue.
It is one of 50 murals he has created.
The mural depicts a large hand with a peace symbol and the words "stop gun violence" on a stop sign.
Holbrook has lost many of his friends to gun violence - 45 victims in total.
He hopes the murals can serve as a place of healing for the families of victims.
