COVID-19 cases in Ohio see highest cases since January

Ohio - COVID-19 cases have been rising steadily this week throughout the state of Ohio.
On Thursday, the Ohio Department of Health reported 5,395 new COVID-19 cases, which is up 795 cases than the 4,600 cases reported on Wednesday, August 25.
Ohio's total reported cases is at 1,197, 873.
This is the second time since January that the state surpassed 5,000 cases.
Case numbers now exceed the 21 day average of 2,902.
The daily case count for Mahoning County is currently at 31, averaging the total cases at 23,972 with hospitalizations at 1,140 and deaths at 640.
The Daily case count for Trumbull County is at 19, with Trumbull experiencing 17, 745 cases total throughout the pandemic, with hospitalizations at 1,316 and deaths at 494.
The Mahoning county vaccination rate is at 49.93% while Trumbull's vaccination rate is at 47.72%.
