Assistant prosecutor who handled domestic violence case involving Carl Pelini resigns
Michael McBride tendered his resignation on Tuesday, Sept. 14, which will go into effect on Friday, Sept. 17.

Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor Michael McBride, who handled a recent domestic violence case involving Carl Pelini, has resigned.
McBride tendered his resignation on Tuesday, Sept. 14, which will go into effect on Friday, Sept. 17, Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul Gains confirmed. Gains had no comment on why McBride resigned.
21 News contacted McBride directly, who also had no comment.
The domestic violence charge against Pelini -- Cardinal Mooney High School's football coach and athletic director -- was ultimately dismissed.
