HUBBARD, Ohio - Firefighters, police officers and students banded together to help a Hubbard High School student, Mya Reynolds restore her mural honoring first responders and the military after it was vandalized.

Hubbard High School seniors were told they could express themselves by painting their parking spaces. Reynolds decided to honor police officers, firefighters and military servicemen with a mural reading "No one fights alone."

However, less than a day later, her mural was vandalized. That's when local law enforcement, firefighters and Reynolds's friends teamed up to help her restore her mural.

According to Hubbard Police Chief, Bob Thompson, the minute he heard about the incident, he immediately stepped in to help.

"Knowing how hard the kids worked on it, I was a little fired up about it so I immediately called the fire chief and the VFW and said I want to get a veteran here, I want to get a fireman here and I want some policemen here, and we're going to help her fix this up and make it a good community thing," Thompson said.

Once identified, police are looking to charge the vandal with criminal mischief.
