(CNN) Almost half of adolescents in the U.S are fully vaccinated.

That's according to a CNN analysis of data released by the CDC.

As of right now, about 46 percent of all 12 to 17-year-olds have gotten the jab. That's up from earlier this month. And the CDC says more than 14 million adolescents have completed at least one dose of vaccine.

This comes as Pfizer says its latest trial of the Covid-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 showed it is safe and generated a “robust” antibody response.

The company says it plans to submit to the u-s food and drug administration for emergency use authorization soon.
