Investigators are looking for the cause of a house fire in Sharon that brought several fire departments out.

The fire was reported coming from a brick home on New Castle Avenue near Orchard Street shortly before 8 a.m. Monday.

The first firefighter to arrive reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the back of the home.

That’s when firefighters from Hermitage and the Patagonia fire stations were called out to help.

Firefighters began rolling up their hoses when the fire broke out again on the second floor.

Two residents and a family dog managed to escape unharmed.

The heat from the fire damaged the siding on a neighboring home.
