UPDATE: Charges pressed after 'zombie horse' taken from Girard yard

GIRARD, Ohio - A life-size zombie horse that was reported missing in Girard on Monday has been returned to it's owner. Now two adults and one juvenile are facing charges.
The prop that had been displayed as one of the center pieces to the Gottschalk Family Halloween display on E. Kline Street went missing over the weekend.
The family tells 21 News that on Thursday morning officers from both the Girard and Liberty Police Departments returned the 5-foot statue to their home.
According to a Girard Police report, two adults and one juvenile now face charges.
20 year-old McKenzie Cross and 22 year-old Leteris (Lee) Dubose will each be charged with Theft, Criminal Trespass, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
According to the report, the juvenile was seen on Snapchat posing with the zombie horse.
According to a Girard Police Detective JJ Silverman, the horse was found in a wooded area. The statue had been separated into several different pieces. Officers were able to help reassemble the zombie prop for the Gottschalk family.
Silverman said, "this may seem like a trivial thing but the display is very meaningful" to the family and community. Silverman credits the Girard community for rallying behind the cause and for the successful outcome.
Haley Gottschalk said their family is just very thankful for the community and the officers that kept an open eye out for the life-size prop.
Haley Gottschalk says the family will put their Halloween display up again in the coming days. The display was taken down after the prop went missing.
