Workers using widespread strikes to have demands met
After 19 months of balancing their health and safety working the front lines of the pandemic many workers said they have had enough.
More than 100,000 U.S. workers are either striking or preparing to strike to improve working conditions.
Valley area workers from Stericycle hit the picket line this week along with John Deere workers, Nabisco and Kellog employees plus healthcare workers in Buffalo, New York and more.
Among their demands are increased wages, better benefits and shorter shifts for some. Statistics show that workers have grown tired as a record 4.3 million Americans quit their jobs in August.
