YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown East and Chaney High Schools are set to battle on the gridiron Friday but a community events hopes to bring the people of Youngstown together.

The 'Community Pride Picnic' will take place Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre,

Derrick McDowell, Community Engagement & Inclusion Coordinator for Wean Park, says the event will be a great way to work out some aggression by throwing footballs and reliving old memories.

The Amphitheatre lawn will be made into a makeshift football field and backdrops will be up for photos.

The event and food at the event is free.

Chaney and East square off Friday night at Rayen Stadium on the city's north side.

Both teams will be in attendance at the event Monday awaiting their community's support.
