COLUMBUS, Ohio - Election Day is Tuesday but a number of early voters have already cast their vote.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose said Monday that 377,399 voters have cast their ballot early in-person statewide.

Of the more than 377,000 that voted early, 172,886 cast their ballot in person.

Total absentee and early in-person ballots cast are 17.8% more than the same time in November 2019.

Absentee ballots received by the county board of elections by the close of polls on Tuesday will be included in the unofficial vote totals released on election night.

“Ohioans trust their elections because we make it easy to vote and hard to cheat,” said LaRose. “There is no such thing as an ‘off-year’ election and voters have been proving that by coming out and making their voices heard in this important election over the past four weeks."

A county-by-county breakdown of absentee and early in-person voting was included in the release.

Here is a look at early voting in the Valley:

  • Columbiana County - 1,287
  • Mahoning County - 8,066
  • Trumbull County - 4,908
