JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Mahoning County, Ohio - The Jackson Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man that allegedly stole money from a church.

The incident happened on the morning of November 5th.

According to Chief Greg Taillon, the man pictured allegedly stole cash from an elderly parishioner and the gift shop at the Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine in North Jackson.

Chief Taillon said the man allegedly made up a story to get the elderly woman to leave the room before taking money from her purse and the register.

Police say the man is wearing a sweatshirt that says "Struthers Bearcat."
