The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested a 36-year-old man who had been wanted since June in Youngstown early Tuesday.

The FBI indicted Michael Childs for conspiracy and possession of cocaine, crack, heroin, fentanyl and meth with intent to sell back in June. He was also charged with a felony for possession of a firearm. A search for Childs was turned over to to the NOVFTF in August.

The US Marshals Service said that Childs was discovered in a home on Meredyth Lane in Youngstown. When officers arrived, they said they heard a commotion in the home's garage. They searched the home and garage to no avail. When Childs could not be found, Marshals opened the trunk of a car in the garage and discovered him. A report said Childs surrendered and was arrested immediately.

Childs was booked into the Mahoning County Jail and will remain there until he appears in court.
