Oh Wow! Science Center now accepting cryptocurrency donations

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Oh Wow! Science Center is introducing a new method of collecting donations: Cryptocurrency. This would make the museum one of the first science museums in the U.S. to launch a program of this nature.
HD Davis CPAs LLC has worked with the museum to choose the right programs and allow for donations to be made in a safe, secure manner.
HD Davis CPAs Treasurer, Tim Petrey says Oh Wow! teaches STEM and that there aren't many pure examples of STEM other than cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
"While this technology is still in its early stages of development, it would be irresponsible of our organization to not acknowledge the need to learn more and develop programs to facilitate the education about this technology," Petrey said.
Oh Wow! Executive Director, Marvin Logan Jr. says the museum has gotten where it is today by teaching children about STEM in a fun manner and that he believes the museum can develop a way to make cryptocurrency and blockchains fun as well.
"It's exciting how revolutionary this can be to so many different parts of our economy and world. We have a future-oriented focus at Oh Wow! surrounding both STEM, workforce development and career exploration. We feel like programs like this can help start to bridge that gap," Logan said.
Those interested in donating to Oh Wow! can do so here.
