Students safe after reports of person with gun outside of Warren School's building

Students and faculty are safe after a heavy police presence responded to an incident at Lincoln PK-8 School of the Warren City School District on Monday afternoon.
Police rushed to the scene after getting a report that a person with a gun inside of a vehicle was sitting outside of the school, according to Superintendent Steve Chiaro. He added that just about every Warren Police Officer arrived.
The superintendent said that the incident happened at the end of the school day, causing a modified dismissal process. Some students were being loaded onto buses, but were brought back into the building while the situation outside was resolved.
Other students got into vehicles to ride home with parents and guardians. All of those students were safe, the superintendent said.
Chiaro was unsure if anyone was arrested for the incident.
Warren Police could not be reached for a comment about the situation.
