YOUNGSTOWN - A suspect has been charged with murdering a girl who was last seen in Mahoning County twelve years ago.

U.S. Marshalls have arrested 51-year-old Robert L. Moore of Alliance on a secret indictment charging him with aggravated murder and repeat violent offender specifications.

Assistant County Prosecutor Mike Yacovone tells 21 News that Moore is accused of murdering Glenna Jean White, who was only 17 years old when she was last seen at a home in Smith Township on June 2, 2009.

The Portage County Drug Task Force picked up the case last year, interviewing witnesses who said that White was last seen leaving the home with Moore, who returned to the home without White and covered in blood, according to Yacovone.

White’s body has not been located.
