Austintown Schools to temporarily switch to remote learning due to increase in COVID cases
According to a letter from district Superintendent, David Cappuzzello, remote learning will begin Tuesday, Jan. 11 and continue for one week.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Austintown Local Schools has announced on Monday that it will temporarily be transitioning to remote learning due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases affecting instruction and transportation.
According to a letter from district Superintendent, David Cappuzzello, remote learning will begin Tuesday, Jan. 11 and continue for one week.
The district encourages students to bring home any books and/or supplies with them that may help them work effectively from home.
Cappuzello added that sports and extracurricular activities will remain as normal as this is "an instructional issue and not a student issue."
The district will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
