YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Several Youngstown State University academic programs appeared on recent "best of" lists.

YSU's Addiction Counseling program was listed as the 10th most affordable program of its kind and the most affordable in Ohio by UniversityHQ.

According to the release, the website EduMed.org included three programs in its rankings of best online learning offerings. YSU was included on lists for Best MBA's in Healthcare Management Online, Best Online Acute Care Nurse Practioner Programs, and Best MHA Programs Online.

Value Colleges ranked YSU's bachelor's degree Respiratory Therapy among the top 25 in the nation, based on tuition, student satisfaction and graduate salary. "Your place in the VC ranking tells students that they can trust your program to provide not only a great education but an entry to a rewarding career," Value Colleges said in a news release. 

YSU's bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene was ranked 16th in the nation according to healthcare-administration-degree.net. Their rankings are based on mid-career pay of graduates, student retention rates, average SAT scores of accepted students, student reviews and affordability.

"Our faculty work extremely hard and continuously strive to recruit and graduate competent students who are ready to make a difference in the profession of dental hygiene," Ruth Palich, YSU assistant professor and clinical coordinator said.

YSU is also on Intelligent.com's list of the nation's 75 best online MBA programs for 2022 and has several programs included in Universities.com lists for top programs in Ohio.

We are proud of the work of our faculty and administration to continue to develop high-level, relevant academic programs that provide a foundation for our students to excel in their careers and become leaders in their communities," Youngstown State University spokesman Ron Cole said.
