Couple jailed after high-speed chase through Trumbull, Mahoning counties

LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio - Two people are in the Trumbull County Jail, accused of leading deputies, state troopers, and police on a high-speed, 35-mile-long chase through two counties early Thursday.
It started just after two am in Newton Township when an SUV carrying two people fled from a sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop along Newton Falls Bailey Road SW.
The pursuit led south through Lordstown, Jackson Township, then north again to Lordstown, Warren Township, and the City of Warren.
At times speeds reached 91 miles per hour. State Troopers set up spiked strips along Route 45 and Lyntz Road to flatten the SUV’s tires. However, the SUV avoided the stop strips
The chase ended along South Leavitt Road in Leavittsburgh about a half-hour after it began.
Hope Ramsey, 23, of Warren Township was booked into the county jail on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding, and drug possession.
Twenty-nine-year-old Dylan Bever of Newton Falls was jailed on charges of failure to comply with police orders and drug possession.
