Firefighters from several Columbiana County departments were called out into 12-degree temperatures to battle a fire early Friday.
State Troopers temporarily shut down Route 518 at Route 164 shortly after 6 a.m. after a large fire was reported in the area.
According to the Franklin Fire Chief, the structure was a former grange hall that had been converted into a residence.
Flames destroyed the building. The occupant got out unharmed.
Investigators are trying to find out of the fire may have started from an electrical problem.
Fire Crews from West Point, Glenmoor, Franklin, and Lisbon were on the scene.
