GIRARD, Ohio -  Girard Detectives are hoping that security camera footage and clothing descriptions will help lead them to the suspects in a laundromat break-in.

Police posted surveillance images on the department’s Facebook page from a February 3 intrusion at the Laundry Baskets coin laundry on West Broadway Avenue.

According to police, one of the suspects used a pry bar in a failed attempt to get into the change room. However, the business owner told police that the would-be burglars caused an estimated $300 damage.

Investigators believe the suspects are in their late teens or early twenties. Both were wearing black pants and medical masks.

One suspect was wearing a pink hooded Bob Marley sweatshirt, black shoes, a red hat, and Nike gloves. His medical mask was pulled down to his chin.

The second suspect wore a black padded jacket, a black hat, white shoes, and black gloves.

It’s believed the two drove away in a silver, gray, or gold 2010 to 2016 GMC Terrain with no front license plate and damage to the front grill.  The cap was missing on the passenger side rear wheel.

Any information that can help identify either the suspects or the vehicle can be forwarded to Capt. John Freeman at the Girard Police Department via at (330) 545-0211 or e-mail at jfreeman@cityofgirardoh.gov.
