The Columbiana County Sheriff's Office said there is a suspect in a possible homicide after deputies discovered a dead man inside of a Lisbon home over the weekend.

Deputies arrived at a house on State Route 45 Sunday morning and immediately found evidence that someone had been injured. Reports said that the deputies went inside and found a man dead inside.

The discovery prompted detectives, the Columbiana County Coroner, a crime scene unit and the county prosecutor's office to all be called to the home. Those units said they are investigating the man's death as a homicide.

However, the official cause of death will reportedly be confirmed by the coroner after an autopsy is completed.

Columbiana Sheriff Brian McLaughlin said his department had a suspect in the case, but that person's identity had not been revealed as of Monday afternoon.

The victim's identity was not made public either, but Sheriff McLaughlin said that his identity will be revealed at a later date.
