Fire leads to explosion taking out mobile home in Lisbon

LISBON, Ohio - An explosion led to the total destruction of a mobile home in Lisbon late Thursday afternoon.
The home was located on Hilltop Drive in Lisbon. Lisbon Fire Chief, Mark Hall tells 21 News the explosion was the result of a fire that had started in the home in the afternoon.
Chief Hall tells us the homeowner said he had propane kegs in his garage and it is believed that these caused the explosion.
A resident who lived near the home told 21 News that he had heard an explosion at around 4:00 p.m. Nobody was in the home at the time except for two dogs. Chief Hall tells us the dogs died from the fire.
21 News crews report that OhioEdison crews were on the scene to shut the electric off.
Chief Hall tells 21 News the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
