Liberty woman sentenced in fatal car crash
Tierra Fields, 24, was sentenced in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to two years in prison for driving drunk and killing 22-year-old Jalisha Wylie of Girard.
She previously pleaded guilty in September 2019 for the crash that killed Wylie and seriously injured another passenger.
Fields also pleaded guilty in December 2020 to aggravated vehicular homicide.
Fields was indicted in January 2020 on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Fields had a blood-alcohol content of .135, which is above the legal limit of .08. At the time of the crash, authorities say there was also marijuana detected in her system.
