The Mahoning County Grand Jury has handed up a six-count indictment charging a Struthers man with the overdose death of a man from Poland.

Anthony Carson, 24, faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, corrupting another with drugs, trafficking in fentanyl, fentanyl possession, and cocaine possession.

According to the indictment, Carson supplied fentanyl to 31-year-old Victor Pappas who died as a result of a drug overdose on April 23, 2021.

Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Maszczak tells 21 News that Pappas thought he was getting Oxycontin, which turned out to contain pressed fentanyl.
