Bazetta Township Trustees are considering using its America Rescue Plan funds for improvements that benefit the public and paving projects.

One priority includes paving one of the worst roads in the township, Quail Run Drive in Timber Creek.

They're also considering expanding parking areas at Bazetta Park, and possibly paving the township administration parking lot.

"At the beginning of the year we put some feelers out there on Facebook asking residents what they thought we should be using ARP funds for, and it came back roads and parks were the main priorities for residents," said Chairman of Bazetta Township Trustees Michael Hovis.

ARP money and matching funds from the Police budget could be used to pave the department's parking lot.

That lot has not been paved in around 20 years.

Firefighters also discussed the need for a Rescue Truck or an Emergency Response Vehicle.

Trustees expect to made decisions on priorities in May.
