Choffin Career and Technical Center has a saying: "If our students can build it, they can make it."

That's is the motto that Juniors and Seniors live by when they are learning how to develop video games, create 3D worlds, animate 3D characters, and develop AR and VR experiences.

"It's important for our students to have this experience because everything is heading in that direction. VR has grown way beyond just gaming. They are using it in education, designing cars and are students are learning that here at Choffin," said Don Hileman, Interactive app and game design instructor.

How it works is Juniors and Seniors will spend half their day in the lab working on these skills and building avatars, coding, and animation, all while earning college credit.

This is just the surface of what the metaverse will become.
The metaverse is still unknown, but experts know how big it will become. Some say that it will be the WEB 3.0.

Looking at the world outside of school. VR is looking at everyday problems and making it easier to solve them.

Some examples of where VR is going are that you will be able to design your future home or car right in your living room using VR. It will save countless hours of going house hunting and car hunting and that's where this is going.

You can also join in on concerts from your favorite bands or go to sports games while sitting in your living room. Just put the headset on and it will put you courtside of a game while on your couch.
