TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - The Trumbull County Sheriff's Office is warning the public of an imposter scam.

The office is reporting that several people have received calls from an individual identifying themselves as a sergeant with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office.

The scammer told individuals they had a warrant and attempted to collect money from them.

The office wants to make clear that the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office will never call and request any payment over the phone for any reason.
