TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH -

The Trumbull County Coroner's office has released the final 2021 overdose death numbers.

In the county, 117 individuals died of an overdose.
 
That number is up one person from 2020 when 116 people in the county died of an overdose.
 
 For more comparison:
 
  • 92 people died of an overdose in 2019
  • 76 people died of an overdose in 2018
  • 135 people died of an overdose in 2017
The record year for Trumbull County still remains 2017, with 135 overdose deaths. 
 

As of Feb. 26, 2022, there have been 11 confirmed overdose deaths

For comparison, looking at the same time in previous years:

  • as of February 26, 2017, there were 12 overdose deaths
  • as of February 26, 2018, there were 10 overdose deaths
  • as of February 26, 2019, there were 19 overdose deaths
  • as of February 26, 2020, there were 8 overdose deaths
  • as of February 26, 2021, there were 25 overdose deaths
