YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A retired K9 officer who worked with the Youngstown Police Department for eight years passed away on Wednesday.

According to a Facebook post from YPD, K9 Officer Hector passed away after eight years of service.

Hector worked with YPD from 2013 to 2021. He was nearly 11 years old when he passed away.
