YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A 62-year-old Beaver Township man will be headed to prison for a stabbing death.

Gerald McMannis appeared in the Mahoning County Common Court on Tuesday where he was sentenced to a minimum of 12 years in prison.

McMannis pleaded guilty earlier to involuntary manslaughter and grand theft. 

McMannis had been indicted for murder and grand theft in connection with the death of Joseph Catullo who was found with nineteen stab wounds at his Beaver Township home.

Officers were called out to Joseph Catullo's home on Lesher Road and found Catullo's body on November 17.

Police later arrested McMannis as he was driving a pick-up truck that was taken from the victim's home.  McMannis lives at the same address.
