The Newton Falls School Board has officially selected its new superintendent after the recent resigning of the school's previous superintendent, Rocco Aducci.

Newton Falls School Board President, Amie Crowder tells 21 News the Board had selected Justin Christopher as its new superintendent.

Crowder tells us Christopher was hired as the pro temp interim superintendent up until July 31, 2022, the same day Aducci leaves his post. From there, he will serve as interim superintendent until June 30, 2023.

Christopher has connections with the Newton Falls School District, as he had previously served as the assistant high school principal for the district three years ago.

In 2021, he came back to the district as the elementary school principal.

Crowder tells 21 News that Christopher was the perfect choice for the job because he's very well versed with the district and the building process.

"He has a one up as far as [the board is] concerned, because he is familiar with every aspect of the building process," Crowder said.
