On the second day of deliberations, the jury came back deadlocked in the case against Robert Moore, 52, whos accused of the murder of Glenna Jean White, an Alliance teen who went missing in June 2009 after visiting Moore’s home, according to investigators.

Judge Maureen Sweeney ordered the jury on Wednesday afternoon to continue deliberating to see if the jury can reach a verdict.

Police said White, then 16-years-old, was there to meet a teenage girlfriend of hers, but then left with Moore that night and was never seen again.

Since White has never been found, prosecutors need to convince a jury that White was murdered and that Moore is the person who committed the crime.

In mid-May, Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge Maureen Sweeney ruled that prosecutors would be able to let the jury know that White had previously accused Moore of attempting to rape her before her disappearance.
