Severe weather is making its way through the Mahoning Valley causing power outages and damage.

There have been numerous reports of wires down across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties.

Columbiana County has 542 reported power outages. A majority of the outages are in Knox Township where about 20% of the area is in the dark. Power is expected to be restored around 10 p.m.

There are around 2,000 outages in Trumbull County with the hardest-hit areas being Newton Township and Weathersfield.

Mahoning County has nearly 2,800 outages due to the severe weather. FirstEnergy is reporting that all 595 homes in Craig Beach are without power. 74% of Milton Township is also in the dark. Austintown has 766 outages reported.

A number of calls for wires down have been reported in the last hour. A number of reports of trees down have also come in.
