WARREN, Ohio - A judge in Trumbull County has sentenced a Southington man to six years in prison for a deadly hit-and-run accident in Niles.

The sentencing came on Wednesday after45-year-old James Markley pleaded guilty earlier to aggravated vehicular homicide, failure to stop after an accident, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and tampering with evidence.

Investigators say Markley was driving a vehicle that struck 31-year-old Diana St. Julian of Cortland at around 3 a.m. on October 10 near North Main and Federal Streets.

The victim was rushed to Trumbull Memorial Hospital where she later died.

According to the crash report, Markley's blood alcohol content was .198. Troopers also suspect that marijuana and other drugs may have been a factor.
