HUBBARD TWP., Ohio - The Hubbard Township Police Department got the go-ahead to post two full-time officer positions Wednesday morning.
Township trustees met early Wednesday, giving their approval to Chief Ronald Fusco to add to the department's ranks.
Hubbard Township trustee Rick Hernandez told 21 News the decision to post the two full-time positions comes amid staffing shortages.
Hernandez says the department will offer the positions to in-house officers first.
The Hubbard Police Department also considers lateral transfers from other departments.
Once the two positions are filled, the department will have eight full-time officers.
