A Boardman woman tells police that a man she hired to change the locks on her house returned to her home when she wasn’t there.

The 48-year-old woman called the police in late June when she received a message from her alarm company that the rear door to her South Avenue home was open.

The woman told police that when she checked her home security video, it showed Gregory Zinni inside her house.

The homeowner said she had hired the 37-year-old Boardman man earlier to change the locks at her house.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry, and nothing appeared to be missing from the home at the time.

A warrant was issued for Zinni’s arrest on June 30. But it wasn’t until Friday that Zinni was arrested as police were investigating a private property accident on Southern Boulevard.

Zinni has been jailed since his arrest and is scheduled to appear in Boardman Court on Tuesday to answer a burglary charge.
