Warren motorcyclist killed after collision with SUV in Champion

CHAMPION TWP., Ohio - A Warren man has died after a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV.
The crash happened at 2:53 p.m. on State Road near Nutwood Avenue in Champion Township.
According to the release, 53-year-old Patrick Riley Jr. was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on State Road, following behind a Chevrolet Equinox.
Riley's motorcycle collided with the back of the Equinox, causing the motorcycle to overturn and throw him from it.
His motorcycle then went off the left side of the road and hit a mailbox.
Riley was taken to Trumbull Regional where he later passed away.
The two people riding in the Equinox were not hurt.
Riley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol's crash reconstruction unit is investigating.
