CORTLAND, Ohio - The Rockabilly Ruckus at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds starts rockin' on Friday, August 12 at noon and runs through Sunday, August 14.

The Rockabilly Ruckus is a pre-1979 car show that's been taking place at the fairgrounds since 2015 and started in organizers, Nicolle and Ed Stanton's yard in 2008.

There is more to the Ruckus than just vintage cars though. There's also an open dirt track, barbers and hair stylists, a pinup contest for kids and adults, live music from rockabilly bands, a wall of death motorcycle thrill show courtesy of American Motor Drome, and much more.

Event organizers say this may be the last time this event is held at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds due to significant rate increases to put on the event.

Friday:

  • Noon-5:00 p.m. - Open track
  • Noon-5:00 p.m. - Shine run registration 
  • 2:00 p.m. - Barber Shop DJ Larry Sinclair
  • 4:00 p.m. - Live music from JJ Vicars 
  • 4:30 p.m. - Shine run lineup and driver meeting
  • 5:00 p.m. - Shine run (must attend meeting in order to participate)
  • 6:30 p.m. Live music from the Kookie Kutters
  • 9:00 p.m. Campgrounds pre-party with live music from Low Life Drifters

Saturday:

  • 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Open track
  • 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. - Burnout contest registration
  • Barber shop band - Steve Trent
  • Noon - Pinup & Jr. Greaser lineup and etiquette schooling
  • Noon - Y-Town Swing performance on Historical Stage
  • 2:00 p.m. -  Live music from Boom Rockets
  • 3:00 p.m. - It's About the Warrior charity auction
  • 4:30 p.m. - Car show awards & kids pedal car show awards
  • 5:00 p.m. - Burnout driver meeting
  • Following meeting - Burnout contest (all contestants must attend meeting)
  • 6:30 p.m. - Live music from the Hi Frequencies 

Sunday:

  • 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. - Kicker era motorcycle registration
  • Barber shop band - Ben Anderton
  • 11:00 a.m. - Kid's valve cover races
  • 11:00 a.m. - Live music from the Braddock Brothers
  • Noon - Fashion show model lineup
  • 12:15 p.m. - Vintage fashion show
  • 1:30 p.m. - It's About the Warrior Foundation charity auction
  • 3:00 p.m. - TBA (driver meeting 2:45)
  • 4:00 p.m. Kicker era bike show awards

Additionally, there will be Ride4Life motorcycle stunt shows all weekend.

All years and makes of motorcycles will be permitted to enter the event on Sunday, August 14.
