NEW CASTLE, Pa. - It's been nine years since the disappearance of a New Castle man, who still has not been found. Police are now offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to his location or circumstances.

Forty-year-old Christopher Story was last seen in the Mahoningtown area on August 10, 2013, before he was reported missing. Members of Story's family tell 21 News they just want answers, and they're sure somebody in town knows something.

"[Story] had been walking around knocking on doors looking for a probation officer. He said that he needed help," said Story's sister, Shana Hall.

One resident who witnessed Story at the time called the police, but when Story's father arrived, he was gone. Story would be 49 years old now, and his family would like some form of closure after nearly a decade of searching.

"Unfortunately, after nine years, with the relationship we had, it doesn't look good. We don't think he is alive anymore, unfortunately," Hall said.

Story's father said he was on medication and struggled with mental health issues. His family thinks anything is possible but believes he may have been killed.

New Castle police said they've exhausted all leads in the search for answers and are now calling on the public to help.

Story was about 6 feet and one inch tall, thin build with brown hair and blue eyes with scars on his legs.

Anyone with any information on Story is asked to contact the New Castle Police Department at 724-656-3570 or leave an anonymous tip on their website.

In addition, Walkers Volunteer Search Party, a non-profit, will be holding a benefit dinner on Saturday, October 1st, at the Riverwalk Memorial Park (250, E. Washington St., New Castle) to raise money for billboards.

The dinner will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will feature a prayer vigil, face painting, food vendors and other vendors, music, and a basket auction.

All proceeds will go towards billboards for Story along with two other missing New Castle residents, Jesse Michelle Bronley Short and Melissa Henson.
