CHAMPION TWP., Ohio - If you love golf, you have a chance to make a living out of it.

Cranberry Hills Golf Course in Champion, one of the oldest courses in Trumbull County, is up for sale.

Owner Steve Welch told 21 News that it's time to retire.

While some golf courses around the Valley have closed over the past ten years, he says COVID-19 helped his business.

"WE WERE ABLE TO STAY OPEN DURING COVID. WE WORKED IT OUT, FOLLOWED TRUMBULL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, AND THAT'S ALL PEOPLE COULD DO, SO WE WERE BUSY, AND I THINK IT GOT THE INTEREST BACK FOR GOLF. WE see A LOT MORE YOUNGER KIDS, WHICH IS GOOD," Steve Welch told 21 News.

The asking price for Cranberry Hills is $1.5 million.

The property includes all the buildings, equipment, and land that make up the 9-hole course.
