Youngstown man accused of assault at Boardman gas station

BOARDMAN, Ohio - A Youngstown man is in the Mahoning County jail, accused of beating a man outside a Boardman gas station.
According to a police report, a confrontation erupted between two customers who had parked outside the Get Go at the corner of Route 224 and Southern Boulevard Saturday night.
One of the men said he was chased and punched by the Jeep driver after complaining that the Jeep was parked too close to his Mazda.
Police say the Mazda driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of a broken arm, as well as a bruised and bloodied face.
An officer pulled over a Jeep along Southern Boulevard and arrested the driver, 22-year-old Anthony Defrance of Youngstown.
Defrance, who, according to a police report, had blood on his hand, told police that the other driver was the aggressor, and he was injured when he fell to the ground.
Police charged Defrance with felonious assault.
