YOUNGSTOWN - The Mahoning Valley Coffee Trail event sold out in 58 minutes Thursday morning, and raised nearly $10,000 for the shelter.

The event is a six-weeklong event exploring coffee shops throughout the Mahoning Valley, and when the trail guides were made available Thursday morning, all 500 guides sold out in 58 minutes.

Guides were given out in exchange for a donation to the Rescue Mission, and seventeen local coffee shops donated their coffee to the event.

Participants who obtained a trail guide today will have 6 weeks from September 29th until November 6th to visit each of the shops and redeem the offer inside the trail guide. Participants who redeem each offer on the trail guide are eligible to enter the drawing for a Grand Prize which is valued at over $750 and includes a barista lesson from Branch Street Coffee Roasters.
