Campbell driver cited after car struck by train at Struthers railroad crossing
A Campbell woman has been cited after her car was struck by a train at a railroad crossing in Struthers.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Aikaterine Maglish was driving along State Street Thursday evening, when her car was on the tracks when both crossing gates lowered.
The car was struck by a train on the passenger side, causing the airbags to deploy.
Maglish was taken to the hospital with injuries troopers say are not life-threatening. She was cited for failing to obey the law for stopping at railroad crossings.
Traffic at the crossing was blocked for more than an hour while the crash was being investigated.
