An expo event for senior citizens is scheduled to take place Tuesday, October 4 at the Metroplex Expo Center in Girard.

The Boomers & Beyond Senior Expo will take place October 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will offer over 35 area businesses the opportunity to showcase seniors and their caregivers about their products and services.

Participating businesses will be available to review topics such as Medicare, physical therapy, tub and shower replacement, rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, memory care, senior living, veterans benefits, free health screenings, technology assistance and much more.

A 3D mammography center will be available in the parking lot and the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention along with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office will conduct an unwanted medication disposal drop-off.
